A Great Central Location to Stay in Seoul.

A really great location. It was close to quite a few cafes and restaurants and a short train ride from Hongik University station (which is very vibey). It was also very close to a subway station so it was no effort at all to get around Seoul. Our room was cozy and comfy and had everything we needed. It was also nice that there was coffee and a water dispenser to refill bottles.

The rubbish bins were quite full so it was difficult to throw away trash in the communal areas (but it wasn't the end of the world).

Amazing!

The host is very welcoming and really takes care of his guests!

There are no downsides for me other than that one of the bathrooms had a low ceiling and I am tall, but this was no problem since there is also another bathroom with a higher ceiling

Nice and homely

Very nice homely vibes. Also it is very close (can easily walk there) to the Hongdae area (the party area of Seoul)

If you are looking for something fancy this is probably not the place (it was clean though), but if you are ok with something more rustic, definetely stay here.

I had a pleasant stay with no big issues, I would definitely recommend for a short stay

The location is very convenient as it's close to the station and there are many restaurants and cafes nearby. The staff was friendly and willing to answer questions and help so the check in and check out experience was very straightforward. The room was small but it was clean and the AC worked well. The common areas were nice as well and mostly quiet. I felt safe staying there.

Having only one key for two guests was a little bothersome in my case, since me and my friend had different plans and needed to go in/out at different times. Staff was willing to help solve the issue, but in general I feel like one more key per room would make things easier!

I recommend it to young travelers who want a comfortable and cozy place to stay

The place had a very youthful atmosphere with souvenirs left by guests from all around the world. The bathroom was fully equipped - the shampoo and conditioner provided smelled so nice and made my hair silky! There were informative notes left by the host around the house that made it easier to navigate and use facilities. You can access a washing machine, iron, luggage scale, there are even umbrellas you can help yourself with. There's plenty of BTS posters on the walls, which made us smile. The house had a very cozy and warm vibe. It felt lived in, in a good way. It almost felt like staying at family's house.

Our bunk bed room was very tiny and it was challenging when it came to packing both of our suitcases but other than that it was clean and comfortable.

We loved Appletree Guesthouse!!

Lovely place to stay, only a short walk from Mangwon station (with easy access to many sights) and close to lots of shops/amenities. Host was really friendly and we loved Coco the dog! Our room was very clean and so comfortable - I wish I could take the duvet home with me! The only downside was that we didn’t get to stay longer. Thank you for a great stay, we’ll definitely return if we’re ever in Seoul again.

Friendly staff, good location

Hostel manager Shaun was very friendly and welcoming. Hostel is also located very closer to public transport and markets for cheap local food. Lots of little extras like shampoo, hairdryers, etc... avail for use.

Be aware that one of the bathrooms has a very low ceiling (but there is a second one)

Very homely, felt very comfortable there

We booked a double and got given a triple room which was lovely. The room was really spacious, there were full kitchen facilities which we used, two bathrooms between three rooms. It was really relaxing and quiet, felt like we were staying at home. Laundry was great value, cheapest I’ve seen it anywhere.

It would benefit from a good scrub. Though it wasn’t bad, I’m usually pretty fussy but I felt comfortable there.
